I was about to go bed at 6am when I hear some knocking outside.

Look outside the window and I see guy pacing around on the road near my drive.
I still hear the knocking and it seems to be coming from my living room so I go down, pull the curtains apart and I see two youths trying to knock out one of the double glazing panels on my window.
As soon as they see me they both run.

By the time I pick up my bat and get outside, all three have jumped into a waiting car and zoom off.

Inspecting the damage it seems they were hammering the frame of the window and have knocked out some gaps on the outer layer of the double glazing.

Any advice on what to do?
Call police? Insurance?
I have a feeling they will be back and I shall be ready, but I will have to get that window replaced.
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced window glazier repairer in London area as I will need this done ASAP.


The youths in question seem to be between 19-25 years old, all male, one White, one Asian and the lookout guy seems to be Albanian/Iraqi/Afghan.

What part of London, lil *****. Hope they where dumb enough to leave finger prints so better call the police Just in case. Don't go through insurance as your home execs will go up. Again sorry to hear, would love to chop the ***** hands off

Defiantly contact the police so they can keep a lookout and be aware! Nasty little f**ks!! Makes me so angry! Doubt they will attempt again knowing your 'waiting' now unless their very dumb. Hope you get it sorted.

call the police, did you get the reg plate of the get away car?
If not is there any CCTV local to where their car was ? might be worth a shot.
