Default hawkeye underdash wiring question on "odd plug"

Hey all Ive got back into a scoob after a 4 year break ,

Few questions if you can help:
I have a green 2 part electrical plug/connection that is not connected together.
One end has a brown wire the other end has a blue/black wire - i am assuming its something to do with the radio which has been changed from the oem unit?

Everything works ok so Im unsure whether to plug it in and see what happens!!

Any ideas what it may be?

Also a rattle/knock in teh rear - definately not the shocks/I have removed the jack from the holder but it sounds liek something "rattling/tapping" onto metalwork!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The rattling in the rear will probably be the parcel shelf. I also thought the rattle was shocks, but read a thread on here that described the symptoms perfectly and hey presto, the rattle was found.
