I'm missing RWD...
I've enjoyed my classic for the last year but I am missing the involvement of a good RWD sports car.
I used to find that RWD can make even very moderate speed driving fun and involving. Even just exiting or driving around car parks can be fun.
It's good to just chirp the tyres every once in a while.
I like the feeling of that RWD 'push' and how it feels when you're on the limits of rear wheel traction, balancing the throttle, steering etc.
You just don't get it in the Scoob.

kinda know what you mean from the fun i used to have going around roundabouts with my CTR fwd
Still looking to get a RWD toy at somepoint, along the lines of Elise i reckon
the 4wd is fun, but the cars just so planted i think id run out of skill before it runs out of grip

It's probably making me complacent as a driver I think.

My old Supra was a very fun rwd car , I could light up the rears upto around 100 mph going through the gears when mildly damp , this would kick the rear out slightly in a straight line . The scoob is a far better all rounder imo .

I'm a rear wheel drive man and I also own an E46 M3 but my current 555 sti spends more time sideways in the wet than the M3 does It's not as easy to get it sideways as the M3 but it's more rewarding when you get it right and hold it
It requires more commitment and confidence to slide a 4 wheel drive because the speeds are higher, crack it though and rear drive almost seems boring

If we keep getting bad winters the rwd is poor though.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
The rear geometry can be tweaked to provide less stability if required...
Mine runs lots of negative camber BUT sensible rear toe.
However it's stable at speed whilst offering lift-off oversteer at "roundabout" speeds so it's quite a laugh doing it infront of someone expecting remorseless grip
