3-4 years ago you'd have got £5-600 for that. Trouble is that classics are dying off in spectacular fashion and the demand for it will go the same way. The '555' isnt really relevent to newage cars.

one I remember seeing on a scooby was j50mph or similar looked very much like 150mph no doubt due to the slightly doctored J !!!!!

It'll make the shell more sellable i guess having that plate on it so if its only worth £150 to someone then i'll probably just leave it on the shell when i sell that. you say you found K555 jrg for £255 all in, thats not got WRX in it aswell though. triple 5 and WRX has to be worth more surely. Ive had people telling me not to let it go for less than a grand but id want £500 for it really if im paying the transfer fees

i agree the wrx ones could fetch more, i was looking at wrx ones but they are mostly all out on cars, thats why i tried my initials, theres loads of *555 *** ones available. id pay 3-400 for yours, but the j555 pan (japan) one is a real good one i was tempted by. open to offers it was.

It will cost £105 to put back on retention to sell, I wouldn't bother Will greatly assist selling the shell
FWIW I have N555WGN on my 555 Wagon and it cost £169 + £80 to assign

I bought my WGN plate 2+ years ago now and the one I wanted for the other scoob was 2.5k. I made an offer, needless to say 2+ years later it's still forsale. No point in being valued at a price that can never be realised

But a quick read off the vast lists off plates for sale will show the vast majority off them are well OTT in terms off prices being asked. how these companies are still around beats me especially in the economic climate we are in - there cant be many folk spending more than around £500 on a p/plate never mind 2k-30k or even more that are being asked by these companies !!!
best bet is ebay, bought my own N.I plate for just a tenner on ebay !! the same types off plates are priced at £399 by regtransfers etc !!
