Certainly not , you have sti type r, Type RA etc which are just as desirable if not more.

22B Is the best scooby ever .

Depends what purpose you want the car for really.

Looks, handling, usability, gear ratios etc all come into it and for me the P1 or 22B are probably up there

Na all depends what you have had in the past to compare it on. Think it comes down to personal choice. But if i could have any scoob it would be the 22B no questions asked.

OK so is there any defining aspect which makes the 22B better than the rest?

22b is a good looking car but very over priced and over rated imo.

IThe 22B is quite a different Scooby to most

But what about the P1?

How does it match to say a Type R, or even a 4 door STi? The gearing is different I know and there's ABS/DCCD, but real world driving experience?

I owned a Type R and thought it one of the funnest Scoobies

I have a type r sti at the mo and i think it is far superior than the P1 (But hey thats just my own opinion after owning both). Normal STI, P1 is probably overall better but dont come close to the type r

P1 doesnt have DCCD

Type R and P1 are basically the same car

People say in real world driving you dont use the dccd, well I certainally do and it was the main selling point over a P1 for me

DCCD or ABS, no brainer really

I joined the P1 forum yesterday to ask about a possible buy and yes it's like you're in rarefied air over there

Got to admit i had a p1 and thought it was the dogs bollox and could not be convinced by anything till a friend arrived in a Litchfield Type 25

Makes the P1 look terrible
also a friend has a new hawkeye 2.5 with full Prodrive added
excellent cars

Sold the P1 soon

My last Scooby was a 04 V-Ltd STi JDM 370/360 with a properly set-up lowered suspension, very similar to the 25. It did fast too well, had to do silly speeds to even start to feel it. I prefer a classic. The Type R was the funnest scooby out of the many owned, which is why I've decided to go back to one (or a P1)

Are they ****!

They share the shame shell and engine, that's it!

I've always thought of the P1 as being a toned down for the UK market version of the Type R.

Skullfudge, Although it is bloody lovely yours doesn't count as 500 bhp and £100K later isn't really a fair comparison.

Would like to add that next to a 22B a Hawkeye Spec C or Litchfield's version of the same would be my other choice.
