Yeeeee haaaaaaaa !!!!
Just picked up my JPN spec MY2001 WRX STI, silver, 460 kms a few hours ago !!!
It is unreal.....been staying under the 4,000 rpm recommended break in but had one quick burst when the car was nice and warm to about 5,500 rpms in 2nd and 3rd.....absolutely insane
Needless to say I want to sleep in the car tonight
I will try and get some pics on this weekend if I can get a hold of my friends digital camera.
This car is unreal, feels very comparitable to a 911 carrera 4...solid, quick etc
ok, off to try and get some sleep
yeeeee haaaaaa

Thanks guys !!!
On my second day and I have dipped out of work a few times just to take a quick run
This car is a incredible, and it is not as though I had a piece of crap before, previously owned a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Turbo, basically a 2.0 litre turbo with (210 bhp) FWD, leather etc etc. It was a great car and I thoroughly enjoyed it, bought it new back in 1996. However, this STI feels a different quality and much more solid. Overjoyed and just hope all the talk about Subarus being very reliable, run forever, etc is true
Although the MY2001 yr is heavier than previous Scoobs I would have to say that the added weight must be worth it to get the incredibly solid feel when driving these things ....just my humble opinion of course Oh, and no I have never driven a pre MY2001
Pics to come soon !!

Brilliant M8 - wish I could regain that 'WOWIE' thing you get the first time!!! It keeps you smiling though!!
NOW - get right back out there and drive it some more - when it gets to 20,000 miles it comes alive!!

Hi Ray
Glad you're enjoying your Scoob
Me and the wife are planning to move over to the Bahamas in the next couple of years(sooner hopefully!!!) so maybe i'll have to crate up my 99 sti type-r and bring it with me so we can have some fun
Course that all depends on whether they let us in as my wife is Jamaican
