Default Never thought i would get ripped off !!!!!

Got flicking through the bay early this week and found an alloy boot and spoiler so happens he wanted a quick sale so accepted my offer of £50.

Im working down in essex and we arranged to meet only 1 1/2hr ago to trade,i should of had a magnet in my hand instead took his word for it paid the cash and off he went.

Something clicked so used my stabila level and bingo the ******* stuck ,alloy my **** so now im stuck with a steel boot and small spoiler ,tried ringing him a sent numerous texts and no answer JUST BEEN DONE .... !
Luckily it was only £60 as i also give him a tenner for fuel to drop it off
and not 10k on a new car ive learnt my lesson never ever drop your guard when buying and selling.

I have his number but he aint answering the phone ****** !!!!

Can you sell them on for, say £40?

That way the episode has only cost you £20 and a lesson learnt, I suppose?

Well it wasn`t a subaru part then. As said already, only alloy panel made for a classic was the bonnet. Cracks me up, all these ads for ra and type r`s with alloy boot, bonnet, wings and doors.

Just thought ..... Steel is actually an alloy ..... a metallic solid solution composed of two or more elements.

So, in strict terms ... if it was advertised as an Alloy part - then, it is! I think he may legally be in the clear.

Or did he say Ally? Aluminium?

Sorry to hear you got ripped of
But I must ask the question why did you want it in the first place
Because if you couldnt tell the weight difference by picking it up in your arms
You sure as hell won't notice when it's bolted to your car ?

just bought an alloy bonnet and loads of difference in weight and feel ,ide just finished work called in the pub with a mate and met him there in all honesty i trusted him and yes it did feel heavy and realised that as soon as he drove away with a smile on his face, think il get rid of all 3 boots and get a fibre glass one for my track car.

Quick Reply: Never thought i would get ripped off !!!!!
