Default Does decat exhaust = Less MPG?

Hi folks just a quick question I have a completely standard n/a classic and I am hoping to buy a full decat system, (including downpipe and unequal manifold)

I am just wondering if I should expect much lower fuel economy?

Anyone calculated theirs before and after etc?

Cheers

As above, you will need to get it remapped, but then you should see an improvement. The car will breathe better without the restricitve cats.

Thanks for the replies guys As far as I know there is no one local to me who can map classics. Apart from the odd time JGM are over for a GB.

Looks like I might just have to get a back box

True Rob, but the thing as this is part of my current build; an EJ18 economical (ish) family car and it's on a bit of a budget. But if I was looking to get my WRX mapped I wouldn't think twice about crossing the water.

Make up a generic message asking when the "mapper" is likely to be going over to your neck of the woods, and send it to "many"..

yup as above.
When I had my car first remaped I had full decat, headers ported and an APS induction kit fitted I got an extra 40 or so miles to the tank and an extra 115bhp ish more (went from 265 to approx 340ish)
