Genuine 555
Hi,
Anyone got any views on the authenticity of this.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=300554974076
I thought they were meant to all be blue. The codes on the vin plate look correct though.

Now Im really confused.
Found some info on here.
http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html
Looks like the engine and options codes are swapped.
Option code looks like a wrx sti v2

You see some cars advertised with " wrx sti 22b type r" and on and on! I think some people do it to hit lots of searches and others just don't have a clue

Im a bit clueless myself.
But im a demon at surfing the net and usually routing out the rubbish. Bit of a tight wad aswell so never buy anything without being sure of it first.
Will have to look out for a classic on here. Much more chance of getting something which is what the owner says it is.
Thanks again for the info.

Spot on plus they weren't numbered like the v-limited's
I must be mad using my 555 daily and putting 200 miles a day on it

lmao
When my sister was buying her wrx (GC8) it seemed that everything was advertised as an sti
People seem to talk out of their ***** and that 415bhp type R (4 door on a standard TMIC) says it all

He got back to me.
He reckons that the English 555 editions were blue with Roof flap but JDM 555's came in other colours and without flap....

The guy has no idea, probably told it was a 555 from the previous owner who took him for another 1k extra
Even the information he has given shows its only a v2 STI and not a 555

That site could misslead some people.
For instance, the STI V2 has the same number as the 555 edition, and the STI V3 has the same as the V Limited etc etc.
As above, a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous.
