shocking ebay advert for scooby !!
Having my nightly browse thru ebay for that elusive low mileage bargain priced scooby sti when I noticed this :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-SUBARU-IM...item4159d39233
a quick look at the picture off the car and yep looks nice and clean enough that is until I started to read the description !!! online video links off the actual car it said in the advert, nice idea I though !! so clicked on and watched the guy run to the end off the road around and back again .. ah well at least it shows its running !!!
at this point I quickly decided that due to both the ebay add description off the car and the shocking ebay feedback the seller had that this car was another one that was not on my short list !!
before clicking off youtube and back to my ebay search I decided to look at one or two off the guys other uploaded videos- kinda wished I hadnt now !!!
watch !!!

Fair enough in a deserted field in an old beat up mini but as far as I can see that is a public road and the very scooby he is trying to sell ??!! would you buy a scooby driven by someone who lets there 12 year old drive it with an even younger son as front seat passanger ??
nice off the father to sit safely in the back out off reach off the controls should there be a sudden emergency !!!

It seems to be in an enclosed safe learning track not sure where that is, it is a good idea I had to learn on back roads and in industrial estates along with all the gen public . as there were no safe learning areas where I lived.
However learning in a scooby not good better to learn in cheep 1ltr run around.
That vid is not going to help him sell that though. I wouldn't buy that car after seeing a learner in it.
God knows what was like when he first started expensive clutch to replace. although the lad doing really well now tbf.

There are a lot more of these types of things around and think that track was a special one like this:

It is a good idea that they have a safe place to do that as if driving is what wants to do its better to get out of system in controlled environment than just "borrowing" his dads car one night and taking it for a spin on proper roads.
The track he was on had a three point turn bit and a hill start area set asside from what i could see with all the relevant road signs etc. he will probably be a really good driver when passes his test @ 17 and will probably respect cars more than someone just getting to 17 and going strait on the road and acting like a loon just because they can.
However I still wouldn't buy it ether not because of his age more because of it being driven by a learner.

Id still not let my kid drive my car, have you seen the way kids play forza motorsport or granturismo? No mechanical sympathy whatsoever

I recognised that place instantly. I used to drive cars in there when I was young. Its made to look like a real road with a set of trafic lights, hill starts etc.
My uncle owned a car lot that backed onto it, so I used to be able to get in there for free. No scoobys around at that time though, best I got was a sierra.
