Defi GeNome in Defi new age pod.

Did it in a couple of hours using a sandwichplate at the oilfilter.
But as I am in the middle of an engine re-build the oil sensors will be moved too the block.

Defi classic with control unit, three in pod on top of dash, two in A-Pillar pod.
Takes about half a day to fit.

NOT difficult, but not straightforward either.

Prosport premiums. No pod yet.

Boost gauge = very easy to fit. 30mins
Oil pressure = Bit more of a pain as you gotta take alternator off but electrical side is easier as once the first gauge is in you just daisy chain the prosports so 30-45mins
Oil temp = Easily doable but a pain the a$$. Intercooler off and difficult access. Took me a couple of hours as i snapped my hex bit off in the Number 3 cylinder bung and couldn't get it out.
As with everything just make sure you got all the tools you will need. Especially a long hex key + long ring spanner/breaker bar.
Anyone can do this themselves. Give yourself half a day.

I bought an ATI epod on a whim from here, the type that fits on the steering cowling, so will be fitting Prosport Boost and one other when I get home. Any suggestions as to which would be most useful? (sorry for the hijack!)

Oil temp probably imo. Its the one i keep an eye on most. Its surprising how long it takes before it safe to put your foot down.

Without doubt, Stack FTW!

Amazing gauges, and if you get the pro control range they can do all manner of things, including logging, recal, peak etc. As well as displaying in your choice of 7 colours, with flashing warnings for high / low reads.

They can also trigger other things at set points, so, say your water temp got too high, they could turn on a fan.

Great bits of kit

my prosport premiums do a double sweep and cycle colours on start up.
Dunno if the standard ones do as well.

They also do a shutdown colour cycle as well.

I got mine from here:
Boost Gauge Prosport Premium Stepper series
They are the exact same ones they sell on Scoobyworld.co.uk but £20-£30 cheaper.

My P1 came with these Blitz gauges , it shows oil temp , oil pressure and boost. I think they suit the car really well and obviously very usefull.

depends on what gauges and what pod.
gauges can be between £40 and £300 each
pods can be between £70 and £300
