Opinions needed ASAP
Right guys, I removed the large stick on number plate from my bonnet this morning (what a bloody nightmare that was) but can't decide where to fit my new smaller one.
I've added some pics with the plate in different positions.
What do you guys think ??
Thanks chaps,
Matt.

Doesn't matter really, I'm sure the old bill will make you remove it anyway
Have you thought about a square import style (like front of evo) on the n/s (like pic 4)

Your not going to like my thoughts, and i'm not sure i should tell you judging by the size of your dumbbells
I prefer the old stick on one on the bonnet.... runs for cover..

I really don't know what to do, the glue took me a bloody age to remove so to just stick another one there would be a right **** off, lol.

Mine is as No1 at present. It WAS as No2, when I had a splitter with a place for it. Now it's about the size of the one shown. I await the 5-0 to descend, but they won't be doing so until september as I'm in France.........Yay!

I got pulled for a slimilar sized plate. £40 (or was it £60?). Simply not worth running the risk for repeat offences.
Normal sized plate in normal (no.1) position is fine - a decent FMIC gets more then enough airflow.
Also, no.2 position looks fine with a normal sized plate - so obviously promotes even more airflow to the IC.

Guys, thank you for all of your input.
I ended up going with the one that nobody chose.
It's only stuck on so I can move it tomorrow when I realize it looks ****e and go with one of the positions chosen by you bunch. Lol.
As for the rozzers, hoping I'll be ok. Car is rarely used and it's not like I'm a boy racer riding up and down the town center. Just have to see how it goes I suppose.
Thanks again guys,
Matt.
P.S, I know, why ask for opinions and then go for something else. Trying to be different I suppose, lol. Either that or I'm a tasteless prat. More than likely the later.

Well the wife just had a look and said,
"you'll look like a prat driving around with that tiny plate, and it looks stupid there, and it looks wonkey",
Well thanks very bloody much.

me too, just put the standard one back on for the mot, a mate of mine does the same thing on his scooby and he's a traffic cop, it just doesn't go down too well at work

lol, sorry my 'second choice' was meant to indeed read "No.3" (and not 2) - I forgot to recheck the photo order.
But I still think you should fit a normal sized plate there instead, with the top of it flush with the top of the bumper - looks fine IMO.
I just don't think you'll like the unwelcome 'interest' from plod, with the small plate - I speak from experience, unfortunately. (And I'm a 'haggered' 42yo who got pulled driving sedately from work to home, who also only hoons once in a blue moon)
My mate had a small plate on his DC2, and the copper was so enraged, that in his temper, he half ripped it off in front of him, causing criminal damage to his bumper!
Of course, that said, as above, you could go through its ownership totally unhassled - but it's still a calculated 'risk', nonetheless. Just offering some 'advice', that's all.

I think I'll see how it goes with regards to the fuzz. As the car is only used on sunny weekends I'm hoping I should be ok. I may get a full sized plate made up and leave it in the car just incase.
The majority seem to have gone with number 1 I see, may have to refit it tomorrow then I reckon. Might even get the mrs approval too, lol. (not that means much anyway).

No.1 (normal position) looks the best when using a small plate for sure. And it's small enough for the FM to get loads of air to boot.
Although I do like it in the centre of that lip spoiler too.

wish the plod were as forgiving in Northern Ireland. One caution as i had the other plate in the boot and 1 x 40 fine from a bike cop who was coming down the opposite carriage way. he turned and came after me. Not much i could do but take the fine on the chin. it didnt help i suppose when i said it was my racing plate. i was coming home from some drag racing in enniskillen though. he was not amused. hoo hum such is life. full size plate on now for good.

bigsinky, that's exactly what happened to me! Had the normal plate in the boot and tried laying it on thick that I had been to Santa Pod earlier and forgot to swap it back over nada nada.
Newbie copper didn't know how to react and said, all flustered, "Don't matter, you're still gonna get 'done'...", at which point he deferred to his more senior colleague. I had to laugh...
