Default STI SPEC C R205 EngineMapper & Open Source

Just had my R205 mapped by Graham AKA Engine Mapper......top job

Got the car on the rollers and poped the bonnet, to find my HKS mushroom filter and advised I change it for the standard airbox and pannel filter due to the inlet temps being to high 35 degrees+. Wasted £200

I had a decat done about a week ago and the boost has been a little crazy at times. It also felt a lot more slugish compared to my S204 ,but I put that down to the extra weight.

Anyway he looked at the map and advised me there wouldn't be much to gain ,but he can sort out my boost issue. He also noticed that it might be down on torque which would explain the slugishness.

After a little chat he reccomended that I do all the work in one go when my LM400 arrives and to park the car up as I'd just be wasting my money.( And this guy travelled all the way from North Wales to meet me there)

I decided to go ahead with a dyno run which concluded my slugish theory as it was only running 325ltb of torque. So I got Graham to go ahead and map the car sorting out the boost issue and torque as I didn't know how long I would be waiting for my LM400 turbo

Two hours later the car pulls much stronger, the boost is much more smother and the difference is truely night and day in the drive home.

The reults speak for them selfs so for people who are trying to decide on a £500 ecutek remap or a £250 pensource remap I would suggest you give Graham a call.

Immy

You need a wing type induction kit that takes the feed from behind the front foglamp area
