Default buying a wrx hatch

Hi all,
Thinking of buying a wrx hatch for around £13k. They seem really good value, is there a reason ? They are stating 0-60 is 6.5 second, surely this can't be right, is it ?
Thanks.

You can get the STi hatch for roughly the same price & is a better choice if funds allow!

It just seems strange that a 2.5l turbo is a second slower than the older 2.0l turbo. I'll take a look at the jdm s-gt and the sti but the cars will be out of subaru warranty which was something I really wanted with buying a second hand car.

Yes, and a top speed that can be beaten by a Mondeo diesel.

Hello mate.

I have an 09 WRX hatch with the Prodrive pack.

I bought it with the pack installed so don't know what its like as standard, but either way I'm more than happy with mine.

Obviously if you can get the S for similar money then go for it, but its just as cheap to fit the tinsel on a WRX in warranty than it is to get an S thats out of, in my view.

Either way - get one :-)

£13k should get you a nice hatch...........WRX's do go for less than 13k, even on someone's forecourt

ahh........didn't link to the car just the search page, just pick subaru as the make on the search page and a white one for £9995 should pop up LOL

Looks nice in white. I'll have to have a few test drives. The missus has just thrown a spanner in the works though by maybe wanting a third kid !!! Think i'd rather have a new scooby. Ha ha

I had a WRX-S and it was good for 6.3k rpm in top gear which equates to around 143 mph. By the time a Mondeo diesel reaches its max, a WRX hatch is in the next parish. In acceleration terms, there's no comparison.
