Default MOMENTUM,My little experiment!!

Hi Guys

Ok so since my local shell is now up to 6-7p per litre more expensive for v-power,
as opposed to Momentum i decided to go with Momentum about 2-3 months ago,i read on their website that you will see a difference in performance and also after filling up with 2-3 full tanks should see a rise in fuel economy too.
so first the performance well it maybe me just thinking it but it does seem to drive better and smoother and seems to like the fuel just the same as v-power!
the fuel economy i am now getting about 7-8 more miles per gallon than i was getting before on v-power!
now i know this experiment has not been a long one but in the short term so far i am very happy with the results
so in conclusion;cheaper, just as good as v-power and you get your clubcard points too

i would be interested to hear about anyone else who have noticed what i have.

Nick.

Our little Sti really responded well to Momentum, shame my local store is so sh*te at keeping it stocked. They hardly ever have it in.

i am now getting about 7-8 more miles per gallon than i was getting before on v-power!
Is this a calculated figure? Assuming you normally see around 22mpg i cannot for one second believe that your fuel consumption has improved by a third by changing fuels!

i was always using v-power but decided due to prices and the fact i know other scoob owners who use it i thought i would try Tesco momentum and im finding i get more miles out of a tank of tesco than i do shell. Also seems to run the same, if not a bit better on the tesco fuel too. Its only 138.9p at my local tesco.

mine goes just as far and well with either, however, 7p a ltr diffrence is hard to ignore, especially if you happen to get your hands on one of those "spend £50 in store and get 5 pence a ltr off"!

Yup found tesco super unleaded 99 (momentum its now called) has always been the best for me. They do have a habit of forgetting to order it tho.
I drive 25 miles one way to my nearest tesco and when they dont have i have to drive 40 miles one way instead (good drive tho ).
The price of momentum is now at £1.40 a litre up here. Although i do think we still have the cheapest fuel up this way?.

i am also using the Tesco Momentum and finding it alot smoother and economical over the likes of v-power and the other stuff that they sell in Esso..

I could be alot more economic in my driving if someone removed the lead weight out of my right shoe !

V-power for me, I can run on the momentum but the car doesn't idle to well and does pick up small amounts of knock activity now and again

The nearest shell for me is a pain to get to, so I've been using Tesco momentum for quite some time, my car's actually mapped on Esso Super Unleaded but it runs extremely well on Momentum with the higher octane count, and the pops and bangs are more frequent lol

Mine is a 96 UK 2000 AWD and as soon as I put the tesco stuff in rather than the normal morrisons 95 the car runs sh*t. Flat spotsespecially under boost. Didnt do this on normal fuel. What gives.
