got a quick question
hi all,
i have just purchased an my99 uk turbo 2000 wagon, very well looked after with history, just had a top end rebuild and got lots of paperwork and most important thing it is totally standard apart from a huge back box that looks a bit daft,
anyway my question is, should i upgrade it or keep it standard, as my last scoob was always in the garage due to its upgrades and silly bhp, it needed, gearbox, rear diff, turbo, rad and just these cost me more than i paid for the car, and in the end it got the better of me so got rid at a loss and as such i don't want to go down the same road with this one.
my first thing im thinking of is an induction kit, but i have read they can do more damage than good is this right or just a load of rubbish,
and the second thing im after is a hks ssq3 dump valve and again i have read on here not to waste the money but are they any good and will it cause trouble to a standard impreza.
thanks in advance guys.

What miles has it done? i would be concerned about the bottom end if you start modding for power. I say this a lot but renewing the suspension and uprating the ARB's bushes and an anti lift kit are good mods that will not tax the engine and give you a faster car along with getting the geometry tweaked.
a VTA dump valve will sound nice but may well affect performance.

hi zohan thanks for the reply,
just had a look and think i will leave the box standard and as you say get a panel filter, do you have a suggestion as to the best one to buy.
when you say a bov can affect performance in what way?
it had done 104k, what anti lift kit would you recommend and same for the arb bushes.
thanks again.
