Default Insurance.....Nice Surprise

2010 Sti 330R fully comp, last year £610 and quoted £670 for next year with silly XS.
Shopped around and got it with identical cover for £342 with £200 XS.
Jobs a good 'un.

Yep, I'm knocking on a bit, the Beatles song went someting like,
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm **.
My classic cost as much to insure in 1997.

Anyone looking with a uk car try aviva. Just renewed my mrs' classic uk turbo with them and it was cheap! Everyone else wanted nearly twice as much! My insurer were good on my sti but I rang them today for the uk car and it was actually dearer than my sti with them!

Very true. They like to insure only those who are statistically proven less likely to end up in the nearest hedgeback or run into something else on the road.

I've been reasonablely sensable driving even when i was young, abit of a tit sometimes, but not half as bad as most. Think we should follow finland, make young drives go on skid pans etc learn how to drive in wet/snow.

Due to claims where people reverse into their garage door/wall instead of the big open bit!! Seriously!

I Just tried them but they are unable to insure me as my car is too modified. Its a 2006 WRX and all I've done is Coilovers, anti roll bars, prodrive back box, Inovite wheels and LPG conversion.
