well his dad will have bough t him a tidy lambo by then lol

but in fairness teaching kids to drive earlyt is no bad thing - he will already have some driveing awareness and the skill to drive.

just aslong as hes taught driving like that is track behaviour, and isnt a **** behind the wheel on the road

Thing is, can he drive in a straight line

When my lad can reach the pedals I might let him have a go - the beauty of fixed buckets

My son has just passed his test and I want him to drive mine on track next time I go
He said he is worried about the risk of damage
Its good for them to learn the skills of driving but its better for them to know the consequences of their actions

Anyone else notice no seatbelt?

He only turns the steering wheel when off throttle too.

I still think it's good to let him have a go in a controlled environment.

Let him take the new one out, or even his mini

Went to the Nurburgring recently and was shocked by a BMW 325 touring driver who was staying at our hotel who openly admitted taking his 7 year old lad round with him on every lap he did. What a joke.

my earliest driving memory was when I was about 5 sitting on my brothers knee doing the steering in his old chevette HSR when I was old enough to reach the pedals my dad used to give me shots on some of his friends farm roads.

I think it should be encouraged so that the kids learn a bit of responsibility, but obviously in the correct supervised and safe situation.
