Just out of curiosity - is there much difference between powder coating and actually spraying them with paint???? I have a friend that works in a bodyshop that says he will do them for £120 - but that will be spray paint i believe???

Yes is the difference between powder coating and painting, due powder coating is baked, will not come off(will not chip as paint),is stronger etc.

And here is video why

For a start there is only 3 gold colours in powder coat and if i paint me 22b wheels anything but the exact match well you know the answer, also u can not touch up powder coating if you get a knock or a kerbing,With wet paint you can ..

Suppose like anything there is pros and cons with both

All these prices, are they including the preparation for spraying/powdercoating? Alloys are almost never pristine!
