Hi all,
I've had a new back box delivered and is waiting for me at home, I'm hoping to fit later this evening, after I'm in from work.
I've had the old back box off yesterday as a trial run, to speed the process up this evening, all went well, however the old gasket is pretty much non existent.
I'm picking up a new exhaust gasket (to go between the centre pipe and back box) to replace my non existent one, just wondering whether I need any sealant or anything else 'special', or will the new box be fine just bolted to the centre pipe with the new gasket in place?
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers, Jase

Yeah you should be ok as long as the gasket fits properly, I don't like using exhaust sealant coz it usually just sets rock hard and doesnt make a great seal I suppose there is flexable sealant out there but it's always best to have a gasket that fits right.

Should be getting the correct gasket so hoping that alone will be a good enough seal then as I don't like the idea of using anything that will go rock hard either as I dunno when there may be a need to take it off again, hoping there wont be tho! Thanks!
