Definately smaller crowds than in previous years but it all had a good feel to it, just wish they would have turned the PA up on the strip coz you couldnt hear the results.

Was a great day, enjoyed seeing many different incarnations of impreza's. Seriousy bad for my bank balance though as some tuning is now on the cards for my otherwise std wrx, oh dear...

Was a great day but a long day for me. left home at 4 this morning and have been back about half an hr.
Great to see team Subaru win with two cars in the final.
My only gripe was the same as others the p.a was way to low at the strip

crackng w/end at Elvington and a hug pat on the back for everyone that worked long hours in the runup to the event to make sure the cars where (mostly) reliable........
the qualifying runs/times were what counted for team points an dthen simply bonus points awarded for the "shoot-out" between the fatest guys in each class at the end of the day - so yes the "banana" won every event thro the day (9.26 1/4 and 194mph top speed !!) and won the final of the drag against AndyF

The Bannana just keeps getting better and better and the best is still to come from Andy's car as well, seemingly he was only running 1.5 bar yesterday!
Between these two cars and the new RCM Gobstopper TOTB 2012 looks promising as well.

What a great result for the team, thanks to those that came along to support us also.
Well done to all of the team and their support crews, massive efforts go in to preparing for this event and the win makes it all worthwhile

The Impreza is definately is the weapon of choice on the 1/4 and top speed run but the Evo's tend to be better all rounders on the 3 diciplines overall (handling, 1/4 and top speed). Only Olly Clarkes impreza has flown the flag in all 3 events in past years. Would be good to see an Impreza back at the top of the 4wd handling at TOTB.
How times have changed tho, back at TOTB3 when I 1st went there was Skylines everywhere, MR2's, Supras, Vipers and Corvettes and very few imprezas and evos. Rocket Ronnies R33 ruled the roost doing 10.3 1/4's, 201.3mph top speed and some fast handling times plus they used to run a mile on the top speed, not a kilometer so the top speeds were 200+.
Definately a quieter event than in previous years, and more professional entrants. Would be good to see Olly Clarke and Simon Norris back there, plus throw in some american muscle. Personally, I think the "street legal" part of the entry is a little looser than before, but I may be wrong.
