Hello all. I have a impreza sti ppp on a 03 plate. Had it 11 days and already love it, best car i have ever had.
Good service history, timing belt done at 50,000, now on 92,500.*
Whiteline adjustable anti-roll bar and drop links, front strut brace and Ecutek initial mapping which was £630.*
Print out from scooby clinic/dyno dynamics saying 306.2 HP at about 5500 rpm.
Bailey dunk/blow off valve
Don't know what exhaust but it is masive, 4" straight through from the turbo, built in centre box and massive back box, no cat's at all.
Engine bay, turbo, hoses, ect all look standard.
So my question is what is the first thing to do? Engine mods for more power? Or coilovers ect for ride?
I think this car might be from a person on here. Is it a good idea to post full reg. to see if anyone knows the car?*
Thanks

For starters,
I would start thinking about getting the cam belt done again. I think the intervals are every 45K so your ready for one.
Mod wise, in my humble opinion ride and brakes are the first things on the list. Get a car that handles and stops really well and you have a good base for more power.
330 to 340 is quite easy to get on your car.
Fuel pump,
Full de-cat,
Panel filter,
3 port boost solenoid,
Good mapping session and that's about it.
Pretty sure that's about it but if I've missed something one of the gurus on here will advise.
Also, I don't think your exhaust will be 4" from the turbo. Probably be 3" all the way with a 4" tail pipe.

Panel filter done, it's on the bill when it had Ecutek mapping. Cam belt price?
How could I tell if the fuel pump is done and same question about solenoid?

I was wrong - the answer is 50k for your car. I swiped the following from the Subaru4you website ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
1992-1999 Service intervals 6 months or 7500 miles. Major Service every 30,000 miles. Cambelt change every 45,000 miles
2000 The Subaru Service schedule changed in the year 2000 in that the Subaru
Cambelt change was due at 60,000 miles. This meant that the first cambelt change now coincided with the major 60,000 mile service (instead of the 45K interim service previously) leading to a hefty bill at only 60,000 miles (over £750 by today's rates at some garages).
2001-2007 The Subaru service was changed again in 2001 when the Subaru service intervals became 10,000 miles apart instead of 7,500 miles and the Subaru cambelt service was due every 50,000 miles. This meant that the Subaru service was now cheaper needing a service only every 10,000 miles but also that the cambelt service at 50,000 miles once again coincided with an interim service and the brake fluid change was moved from the C service to the B service thus spreading the costs more evenly, however many Subaru owners prefer to follow the original Subaru service schedule of the classic cars at least for the engine oil changes every 7500 miles and for highly tuned cars every 3500-4000 miles.

I think I might do the scoobyclinic thing so I can have a look round.
Strut brace, Drop links all done with recites to proof :-)
So I think it might be bc coilovers as had a quote from on here for purchase, fit and set up for £799

Hi mate and welcome to the slippery slope.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
PPP has fuel pump already so no need for that, as suggested suspension and handling is the way to go before more power.
Then with your spec i'd be looking at a turbo upgrade and possibly a front mount intercooler.
something like an sc46 will get you nicley into the 400+ bhp without much else required, then you will have a very nice fast road car.![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Speak to adam at scooby clinic you wont go wrong![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
FIRST should be the cambelt....asap.

Yes, it's slippery slope, very slippery and not had it 2 weeks yet. 400 bhp sound nice so how much is a sc46?
But yes, cam belt in 2 to 3 weeks

As you are in Ipswich, try Frost Motor Service http://www.fmsauto.co.uk/
Rindy Frost has been working on Subarus for years and is highly recommended.

Just been sorting all my history and found more paperwork and my scooby has 323.2 bhp instead of the 306 I saw. And the print out with 323 is the latest dated one. Really hope to get it to the 400 mark.

Cheers. Shopping list got, now to get some prices, and with my cam belt being done first week of sep. and the coilovers wanted time to set a realistic timescale. I would say about march 2012.
400 bhp ish, here I come
