Default I've had the wave!!

well... what a surprise hey!

I read about it, but didnt think any of it... until yesterday!

I've only had my first scoob since last week, so yesterday there I was waiting to get on the roundabout, another guy goes past me on a scoob and gets his arm out to say "hello" !!

Now... Im a biker, so the "nod" is something natural between bikers, unless you are a grumpy old fart on a harley lol...

I drive Land Rovers... and us driving around old tratters, also have the wave...but then again, Land rovers are an iconic mark in British engineering...

in the scoob?? I never expected it to happen so fast!!

I didn't understand it at all when I first had my scooby, it was a "who's that, I don't recognise him" for a good few weeks until I realised what was going on.

I find you get a friendly wave from more enthusiasit owners, and get ignored by young chavs with cheap knackered classics, the latter tending to be the ones driving around roundabouts on 2 wheels giving us a bad name lol

I was waiting at a roundabout when some lads in a sport wagon with a huge exhaust came round far too fast, saw me waiting and nearly crashed as they were just staring at my car .. lol

Ok its friday afternoon, I'm killing time on here rather than working so here goes lol

In your first post you're suprised to be getting waves after only owning a scoob for a couple of weeks, what Pimmo and me are saying is that other people driving around in their cars and waving to you dont know that you've only just picked it up ......

Hope that helps, I'm off to drink some beer to help me speak lol

Some people aren't 'into' the waving thing though. Like me.

It feels awkward and dare I say it, is slightly sad -- but that's prob. more of a reflection on my age and (slightly lol) curmudgeonly deameanour.

I get a few waves and do wave myself which is followed quickly by "loser" in my left ear.

Pretty much none of the scooby drivers wave back in east yorkshire! Flashed what looks to be the white rcm hatchback that was featured in banzai yesterday for the second time and got a dirty look! same with a classic wagon, although he did look a bit of a chav.

seems like the traditions dying out to me..

I passd a scooby exactly the same as mine on Monday, black 03 sti. I gave the wave, he looked and turned away, left me feeling like a *** big time. Anyway saw him again today, I flashed, he looked and I gave a different kind of wave, something that looked like this

I was very amused at his reaction

Quick Reply: I've had the wave!!
