I viewed a few WRX's a while back and all the late bug and blobs I saw had two tone grey bucket seats fitted. It was only early bugs that had those seats

it is the ad says so....
he has spent thousands modding it to a wrx look a like. brembo delete, scratched red paint of engine, removed 6th gear,fitted smaller wheels, changed bumper,skirts,hood and scoop.
even fitted different interior.
that is a lot of work you know, maybe that was the hobby he mentioned.
hold on a minute! do you think its actually a wrx and he has told a fib in the ad and put a fake sti boot badge on?

I'm gonna put my hands up here and admit that I have a WRX with STI fog & door graphics (see profile pics, or garage), not because I'm trying to pass it off as an STI but a.) because I actually like them, and b.) because I think the car looks too plain without them.
Besides, I figured it didn't matter as anyone in the know would clearly see that it wasn't an STI (if that makes sense)...
Is this a big no, no then? There is a difference here, this **** thinks he can get away with selling an WRX as an STI, whereas I just like the look.
Opinions please... is my beloved likely to get pelted with rotten tomatoes as a result?

no problem with your car at all, it looks great,
the problem with the ad is it's a large lie as he is trying to sell it as an sti

Seeing the ad reminds me of the old days when kids would get a MkII fiesta 1.1 popular plus and then stick pepper pots & an XR2 sticker on, and they acutally believed that it was and XR2. This guy could actually be just as deluded, it could well be that he's never been in a real STI, or studied the spec, and therefore think that the only difference is the badge on the boot!?!?

Hi daniel, this is steve with the Subaru for sale, yes you may view it this weekend, as to your other questions I was informed that it shows as an Wrx only on the log book due to a shortage of impreza's they were shipping them in from Belgium and mine was one of these cars, I had no reason to doubt this as it has the bigger spoiler and the bigger vent on the bonnet, it has the badges on it as well, admittedly it does have a 5 speed box rather than a 6! All I know is that it looks great sounds fantastic and goes like a rocket, I honestly wouldn't be selling it if I wasn't moving house.*

I'm sure he must have used to log book to tax the thing since he's had it, what did he insure it as?? does he not know that log books exist to held identify and validate the make and model of the car??
I can smell something, not sure if it's b*llsh!t or a shyster...

As for the history it's not full but then I have reflected that in the price. I mention there is a little damage on the front, I have had a quote for a replacement bumper already in the blue for £150! So nothing major. Steve - 07703696750
