Hi everyone,

This is my first posting on scoobysport. I would like to buy my first WRX and am looking at the earlier models due to budget. Yes, I have got some insurance quotes and know about the fuel consumption etc.

I have been to see a few - some newly imported, some have been in the country a while. However, I don't have much in the way of mechanical knowhow, or experience with Imprezas. I was wondering, once I find one I think I want to buy, if anyone who really knows their stuff would be kind enough to look over it for me, especially as a lot of them are modified in some way, e.g. exhaust, quick shift, etc.

I really need the extra piece of mind before I part with my dosh!

I am based in Surrey and have been looking in the London / South East area.

Can't help M8 cos i'm from up north but can tell you this is your first post on the scoobynet.
