Decided to sell the Wagon. It's sad, but there's a time for everything...

Thing is it's difficult to value for a selling price, so whaddya reckon?

1 former keeper
Comprehensive paperwork with import docs, original eBay sale etc
Bottom end rebuild and head refurb 12K ago
Gearbox refurb 10K ago
Very well serviced

Difficult to price these days. Market very slow. Mine didn't sell so, I'll probably
hang 'til next year. (not that it'll get any better)

TBH I was thinking £2.5 tops

I've half a mind to just keep it though

£2.5k is a paltry amount considering the work you've had done. You really can't replace an Impreza for anything better for that sort of money. That's why I'm keeping mine... ;-)

Well when you consider what COB paid for his wrx wagon £1,300 ish, £2,500 is tops really regardless of what has been spent, as we all know you never make money on these cars and what has been done is just par for the course.

I don't think your being unrealistic but doubt many would be prepared to stump up that for a car of that age unless someone really wants it and tbh if you want it gone then you will have to price it very keenly unfortunatly, i also wish they were worth more but in the current climate i'm affraid it's break it if you want more cash

I've spent in the region of 20k over 5yrs and i'd be lucky to see 5k

I bought my 95 wagon back in June this year and its got some scabs of rust on it, wings and nsr rear quarter and a litle bit on the boot. A cracked front bumper with P1 splitter and driving lamps. Mechanically sound but its only a 2000 4wd.

I got with it a fmic with pipework, a front set of Brembo's with disks and calipers, a spare front bumper and a pair of wings.

The car has Greddy manual boost controller, an Apexi sfac2 and good boost gauge. Corbeau front seats, a decent stereo system, quick shift, HKS super dragger exhasut, mapped to 287bhp and a couple of other bits.

I paid for the lot, £1,060 That was it. A bargain for me but not such for seller.

So I would keep it and if they ever go back up in valuation then maybe sell, or break it up

Yep high insurance, 20mpg @ £7.00 a gallon and general maintenance costs put most people off, no wonder prices are low.

£1300-£1600
That would be. A fare price
As above £7 a gallon
25mpg no more
Rising insurance costs
Maintenance and spare high prices
Soon the wagons will drop to £800-£1000
For classics

£1500-£1800 on a good day as they are making no money anyway and the wagons are always harder to sell IMO defo would keep it. what are you thinking of getting as a replacement is the big question? if it's bigger/better its normaly enough to justify any amount of loss for most people lol

I love black, but £7k for an 04 wrx don't matter how nice it is no wonder its still for sale. 4k as is would be my best offer, sorry but the *** has fallen out of the market for these types of cars and the sooner people get with the program the sooner they will sell but buyers are extreeeeemly limited.

But i do love a bargin

Well, I think I'm going to put it up for sale and if I don't get £2.5K for it I'll keep it

Just putting a new set of Falkerns on it, MOT & insurance too, that's nearly another grand

Keep it mate, you wont get anything near what its worth and you wont get anythng else that performance orientated for the money, its a no brainer, im in a similar position to you, version 1 sti wagon with thousands spent, in truly immaculate condition and not a spot of rust in sight, wouldnt get more than 2.5/3k as it is, prob not even that much, so i decided to keep mine.

Yep i'm with you, just shows how far out some peoples estimates of the value of their cars are compared to the reality of what it needs to be if you want to sell.

As usual it's a buyers market for these cars, and genuine buyers seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo with diamond studs.
