Default clutch or gearbox? please help.

Hello all. could really do with abit of advise before i start throwin yet more money around. last wednesday i came off the motorway and when i sank the clutch pedal it felt as thow there was alot of friction as i put the pedal up an down, then the friction feelin in the pedal stopped an i could no longer get any gears properly, its the 6 speed dccd box on a hawkeye. just to make clear aswell, the clutch is brand new well 1300 miles old. but 1000 miles was running in the new engine build, so its only done 300 odd miles on boost an not really ragged it yet at all. its a stage one carbon cevlar clutch like for like replacement. up until this point the clutch has been fine. if i try an put my foot down it wont let it out of gear till the revs drop. but i can go right up threw the gears without even sinking the clutch pedal! but only if your driving slow. but really really difficult to ingage any gear when trying to come back down threw the gears. bit baffled by it really. i can get all gears when stationary with the clutch pedal dipped no problem with no clutch drag. does this just sound like a faulty unit? any input would be very much appreciated. thanks

Hi folks. just to let anybody know who looked at my post, it was a clutch problem caused by who ever fitted the clutch! they dropped the clutch plate itself an fractured it an then thought f@#k it an fitted it anyway! so the material started to flap off the metal body of the plate in turn stopping me engaging any gears! end result is - me paying yet another £375 for an exedy an then another £250 havin it fitted! so lesson learnt, choose wisely when you pick ppl to work on ya cherished vehicle.

Tell me about it, luckly there was no damage because it was caught in time but could of been a whole lot worse. very disheartening really, ive spent a fortune on the car over the last six months forged engine ect new everything! so it was the last thing i needed. but its running nice at the moment-touch would i hope it stays that way. its a local garage that fitted my clutch, but ive been goin there over 8 years, an the head mechanic has a 360 bhp bug eye an pevious scoobs. but i now send it to extreme who are bang on the money, only down side is they run rallyart for the evo's!!!! so when i drop the scooby off there its left with a unit full of evo's!!!!
