duel mapp done!!!!!
Got my03 wrx mapped today its now running 330/330 with the performance map and 220/220 on the economic map so very happy, what was a nice touch is you can switch between them using the rear demister button, I was very impressed with the service

No mate to change the map you need to be on full throttle and you double push the button, this can be done in any gear or rpm or even with the engine off and just the electrics on, I think its a great touch loving it so far

It's unlikely to be a full dual map, more a reduced boost mode using the rear screen demist and WOT. Yes Jono300, it could be ECuTeK'd into yours.
There are more fancy ways of mapping the Bi
ug / Blob Denso ECU but the above is more likely
I've had mine enabled since Bob Rawle mapped it about 7 years ago but havn't used it

so you can only have the 'off the lights' acceleration with the 220 map? and you can only change to the 330 when your on full throttle? what happens when you slow back down, does it automaticaly change back to the 220?

Your either on 220 or 330 but can switch between whenever you like

Ignition on (engine not running), depress throttle to floor and press the rear screen demister............toggles between the two boost settings on mine.

Don't REALLY see the point in this to be honest...kind of like the M button.
There'd be a time I'd want the big power and it wouldn't be there...now that would **** me off.
If your happy though thats the main thing

no liked the idea off a dual map ie economy map and performance map so you reckon this would not be possible on an open source map and would it improve economy over the stndard base map ??

Okay thanks shaun just skimmed thru your link but appears my 2005 wrx cannot accept this particular rom anyway so looks like I can forgett about a proper twin map set up !! no as I say I am with what most folk are saying regards dual boost ie. in itself its virtually worthless and would never personally use it. but what I did like the sound off was a dual map ie.a map that you would use 99% off the time that would be based around best mpg figures etc !! and another map that you could switch in that would give best all round performance.
in saying that some folk say that a performance remap can actualy improve your cars mpg figures providing the extra performance the remap gives is not actually used ??!!
so looks like my only option on my 2005 wrx is either switchable boost which again is off no real use to me or get it remaped for performance and just hope it improves mpg figures during most everday type driving !!

The WRX left the factory pretty much crippled so as not to get anywhere near STi territory in lots of ways.....transmission, brakes, interior and the rest.
The Denso ECU on the WRX is very capable but left the factory in a similar crippled state, mapped for a huge amount of safety, low boost and lots of fuel thrown in to avoid det and aid cooling for crap fuel.
In my opinion for the WRX with mods, dual maps are not really necessary......just get it mapped for max fuel / ignition/ boost efficiency and to save fuel just pootle around
It's what I do
