2.2 block

Why is that then ? Do you have proof of this ? I would like to know the answer to this question myself, I've been told on here that N/a engine blocks are exactly the same as the turbo ones it's just the pistons that are different, maybe once and for all someone can clear this up.

This is the answer I got when I asked about the 2.0 blocks, some of the pics have gone but you can still read the replies, not sure if this applies to 2.2 https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ne-blocks.html

So did I
Putting large power(the sort of power 2.35`s are built for) through a ODB will cause the bores to heat up too much and warp etc..., As opposes to a CDB which is up to the job due to having more of a solid block

So is a 2004 Sti block the same as a 03 N/a block or is the Sti semi closed deck and the N/a block open deck ?

I have a 2.2 CDB that I can sell you. Its got a "spun" liner in one cylinder. I say "spun" because its literally moved about 1mm if at all. Some say use as it is, others say get it relinered. Usually sell a block for £1200 but could work something out on this one if you're interested.
