I was told to try and buy an original part as the cheap fibreglass ones don't last long before cracking etc... I spent a bit extra getting an original Spoiler and boot lid but it was the same colour so saved money on paint!

Stay away from the fiberglass ones, the GRP ones are better. I got mine from scoobyworld and is really good quality.
Personally I'd be looking between £200-£300 for paint and fit. I used a paintshop that Subaru recommended. I've been down the cheaper rout and was gutted when the quality wasn't perfect.
Contact your local subaru dealer and ask who they use mate

I run a maindealer bodyshop and if you could get it done for that price it would be very cheap, the reason behind the thread is a work mate of mine has just purchased a large frp replica rear spoiler for his silver Toyota glanza and I said normal cost would be circa £360, he went to another respected local bodyshop and they quoted him £480, despite this he still refuses to offer me more than £40 to do the job off the books, so was wondering what you guys had actually paid for a high quality job?

Pay the bit extra and get a genuine article is my advice, they quite often come up for sale on here in the for sale section.

Got mine from Scoobyworld and would dispute the fact that it is good quality, took it to the bodyshop and the first thing he said was 'DO YOU REALLY WANT TO FIT THAT TO YOUR CAR' he had originally quoted £150 but when he saw the extra prepping required charged £200.

He said it would be roughly £200 for painting+fitting but he also accepted beer tokens

Admittedly, never be able to beet OE quality. I did pay a little extra for some extra prep work but the quality was a million times better than the japspeed one I originally bought.
Maybe we had different versions or batches from Scoobyworld
