sigma alarm fault
hi, i yesterday i tried to lock up my scooby 2000 turbo and when i pressed the alarm fob it locked all the doors except the drivers door. i replaced the battery in the fobs and it hasnt changed a thing. just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem and could give me some advice.
also if i lock the car with the key the same thing happens and i can open the drivers door? not sure its the sigma alarm at fault or possibly the door itself.
any replies would be greatly appreciated. thanks tim.

It sounds like a mechanical fault to me, I think the key should lock the door without the central locking system, I would suspect the alarm system to be OK, can you lock the door from inside, put window down, and try locking from inside by pushing in the tab near door release.

thanks for the reponse. i can lock the door from the inside but as soon as you pull the handle with the window down on the outside it opens/unlocks the door. ive tried all sorts of way of locking it. just wanted some advice before taking the door card off and having a butchers. thanks for your help mate.

Just gone out to look at mne, pi**ing it down, with the door open on the drivers side, if you use the lock on the inside of the door, press it in and you should feel it kick back against your finger tips as the solonoid kicks in, if you dont feel this, you will have to remove the door card, could be a faulty solonoid in the drivers door.

your a true gent mate. yeah i tried that and the lock does kick back when you push it in from the inside with the door closed. i thought that might be the issue but if its supposed to do that then im all out of ideas mate.
