Need to uprate the suspension on my 99UK wagon from the standard struts and springs...seen these and the bidding finishes in an hour!!!!

have spoken to the seller and he says they seem to be fine with one or two of them being a little damp but otherwise in good nick???

Are they worth it for £150-200 or so???

Seems good price but leaking not good and how much will they be to service?

 

If they are damp they will need a rebuild so you will need to factor in the costs of that. personally i'd say hold out as you can get decent STi suspension for £200

 

had these on my watch list too but for £200 you can get Sti Red shocks and lowering springs from a few of the breakers on here and I'd be leaning towards something like those.

I know that feeling!!

 

Basking in the feeling that I made the right decision and not the usual after thought of "oh $hit...why did I buy those once the bidding closes!!"

They definatly were leaking by the look of them and I probably would have regretted buying them as I've not got the time or money to have them refurbished!

Much rather look for a decent dry set of STI 4/5 struts which i can bolt straight on...

 

check the for sale section mate, theres a few sets in there. And you want V8 Sti's

 

Version 8 STI's??

Will they bolt straight on??

I assumed you could only use classic suspension on a classic??

Is Version 8 newage??

Would be great if it is the case as I can probably get hold of a newer set in better nick than any classic STI set!!
