* Get whichever one is most comfortable for you
* Make sure it's Snell SA2010 approved
* If possible buy one with factory fitted HANS posts just in case you decide to invest in a HANS device at a later date
My own personal choice is an Arai GP-6S.

I went for the bell open face. About £200 and has option for Hans posts. This was the most comfy for me. I even went down a size with this one. They're like the seats mate, you'll know when it's the right one
I made the decision before going up that i wanted open face as I've got a bike helmet and in a car I get too hot, but that's just me.
I also got a kart balaclava. Was told it's a good way to keep the helmet fresh from sweat and grease as I'm part bold and part skin head and it actually surprisingly comfy and airy. It was only I think £7.
Hope this helps mate

Cheers gez I would imagine it does get pretty hot in the summer and never thought about an open face , this would be Ideal for the hotter days but I would assume it didn't offer the same protection as a full face would in the unlikley event of a fire that's my thoughts .
Like you say after trying a few it will choose itself
Cheers lee

As above - get the best fit - I also went for the lightest I could afford so I don't get too knackered wearing it - and would also advise going for a closed face helmet - in case any of your mates/people who offer you a ride have an open top/screenless car (Caterham/Atom type jobbie). SPent aroudn £350 on a Sparco I think - which is pretty dear - but wanted light wieght and it fitted the best...

Check these out too. Alot of kit for little money. Also snell2005 approved which is also accepted for sprints hillclimbs etc. Went for the openfaced 1! Does the job and not too heavy.

Wagon was all ready for brands last year until I blew the gear box on the way back from rally day
Have been using the Spec D for track instead till now
I have a classic saloon aswell but I still prefer the way the wagon drives. Booked in for Snetterton next feb with the wagon so we shall see
