BTCC, dissapointed?
Just watched highlights of last race of the season @ silverstone and there's STILL a disparity between the turbos and the normally aspirated cars, ok only slight now but still there, has totally screwed up the seasons racing imo as 1/4 of the cars were just not competitive inc last years champ baked potato and the BMWs which are some of the best mixers due to the RWD differences.
The handicap for Plato and others for the first 3rd of the season was so great that i find it hard to believe it was just incompetence on the part of those in charge, how difficult could it be? Time them across a few different ranges, 0-60, 0-100, 60-100 etc and make any advantage no greater than the greatest difference between any of the N/A cars. I know there's lots of money involved, it's on the telly, but f*** sake is there no such thing as sport anymore?
Matt Neal is obviously a talented driver, bit macho sometimes but he's still young and didn't need to win like this.
Anyone else feel cheated apart from me and obviously Plato?

I lost interest in touring cars in the mid 90's when it all the legends left.
Used to watch every week, walk the paddock at Donnington and met one of my hero's, John Cleland.
Until the repmobile racing of old returns then i'll show little interest. Bring back Cleland, Harvey, Hoy, Soper, Menu etc.

I think some of the races I have seen this year have been good, the grid is much bigger than it was in say 2001/02 when there was only a few Astras, Civics and a couple of 406 coupe's.
The Silverstone meeting was a disappointing watch on TV,

The BTCC and the Ginetta juniors are some of the best races on TV along with British superbikes whose last race was one of the best i've ever seen and i've seen a lot, make F1 MOTO GP and the like look totally boring, you don't know what you're missing. (ok you didn't miss much this year)
