Default New clutch

On the motorway yesterday i went to overtake another vehicle and as the car came on boost the revs came up but the speed didnt so its new clutch time

So guys i need your suggestions for a company to supply and fit a clutch for me in the NW London or bedfordshire area.
Plus what would i be looking at paying all in (new clutch, presure plate, flywheel skim and fitting) for a Blob sti running 330 BHP and similer torque?

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards Matt

Personally i'd go for an uprated item (not much more price wise) just incase you want to up the power a little later on. As for somewhere to fit, lots of people tend to have different preferences so search about and find a place you feel comfortable with

There doesnt seem to be that many near me, although i would travel for the right people to do the job, there is a bewildering amount of good (and bad) scooby specialists out there hence my first post as im a little lost.
I was planning on an uprated exedy anti judder (if ther is such a thing lol)

Who would be your preference? as this is the first time i have paid anyone to do work on a car that i own (usually do it myself but ive heard its a bitch and im feelin a little lazy)

Regards Matt

I do all the work myself and as you are a mechanicall minded individual having worked on your cars, i'd suggest doing it yourself too. I prefer to remove the engine rather than gearbox to change the clutch. If you don't come across any real problems, engine can be out in an hour.

Only things you will need to watch out for that can be a pain are:
-Cover over the rod that goes through the release fork (10mm allen key)

-The rod through the clutch release fork (use the battery tray threaded rod to screw in and pull out)

-Lambda sensor in headers can prove difficult to come out

-Put release bearing in fork rather than clicking into pressure plate when refitting engine

Other than these, it's usually a doddle and will save you a good sum of money doing it yourself

Thanks mate
I can appreciate the sentament, but going on the premis that i dont want to do it myself does anyone have any suggestions near me that would be good for the job?
It just means less messing around trying to find a place to get my flywheel skimmed and finding the correct clutch allignment tool.

Regards matt
