I'm currently wondering what exhaust I should have on my new scooby. It's currently got the standard STi back box with a stainless steel pipe back to the cat which connects to the standard downpipe.

I have the choice of the prodrive exhaust, or a jap style exhaust. Apparently with the japstyle backbox there is a noticeable performance increase. My only issue is that I don't really fancy anything too loud when driving into work every morning. I'm thinking the prodrive might give a slight performance increase and a little more of a roar than the standard STi one.

Any suggestions?

tsl group n isnt to loud and meant to be a good performer, not that expensive either,
search on here as few pop up regular, the sti geome rear boxs are very very good but expect to pay £££ for one, but still if i had another Sti that would be my choice

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the confusion though.

I meant I have a choice of the three that I wrote: -

jap style
pro drive
standard STi

I get the choice of two, so I'm thinking of taking the standard and the pro drive.

the prodrive has a slight more rumble/burble over the sti and stainless so looks nicer, jap style will be alot louder,it depends what you want, the prodrive gives you the standard look, were the jap style is more in your face in looks terms, it really is down to personal preferance,

I think I'll go for the prodrive as I'd like a bit of a burble and hopefully a slight performance increase. I'm just in two minds about putting the jap style on as that's what came on it when it was imported plus there is a noticeable difference in throttle response.
