Default Power Steering problem

Hi Guys, got an issue with my01 WRX Bug.

While stationary turning the wheel from lock to lock there is a heavy clunking / resistance from the power steering. When driving at any speed steering is as normal without problem. Could this be a belt issue, or is the pump on its last legs?

Ive checked the fluids tonight and all that end is fine.

Cheers

Not sure to be honest, but turning lock to lock while stationary won't do your car any good at all.

I wouldn't have thOught it would be pump related as most of the stress would be on cv joints, steering rack etc, I have a whirring noise on mine that is pump related, however my power steering still seems to work ok at the mo, but it's a job for the winter to get done.
