Tesco petrol stations
Anyone else having problems with resetting the immobiliser when using Tesco petrol stations?
Seems the digital digital device Tesco use to measure the level in tanks transmits on the same frequency as many car alarms.
Its happened twice to me at the same pump, same forecourt. Works fine everywhere else.
Affects Land Rover and some Toyotas too.
Car is a 2005 WRX.
My MY00 used to be the same near radio transmitters.

My Impreza MY99 was stranded in a car park due to the Police Headquarters Antenna, but never had a problem in a Fuel Station. It is an embarrasing situation to be in with the Alarm Sounding. I was never approached but got many a strange look.

Do you consider yourself frightening?

Had a phonecall from Tesco this morning. They are aware of the problem and have received several complaints. They are currently seeking to resolve the issue. I'm impressed at their swift response, hopefully the fix will be equally as quick.
