I did this a few years ago and apart from the weather it was a good day out There were some amazing cars there and there was plenty of time to do timed runs and top speed runs.
It was very windy when I was there and we had a 30mph headwind! That didn't stop me getting up to 168mph, I lifted there though because the car was weaving about so much in the wind!

Cool.
Did you do any special preparation for the event?
Only thing I could think of was bonnet pins as got a Seibon carbon one with the reverse scoop and it flaps a bit around 120 so want to be safe at 130 +

A service and a check on the brakes would be recommended and also a visual check on the tyres for damage.
Bonnet pins are a must to be honest, the car I was driving on the day had a fibreglass bonnet and even with pins it was moving around a lot and don't forget you can also get a headwind with it being a flat runway so 120mph really means 150! That's a lot of stress on the front of the car.

I've been there twice, no prep at all just turned up, did about 10 runs or so then left. Really enjoyed it though, good to be able to max out the car without fear of a ticket ...

I've been involved with 2 of these events, Darin and the MLR crew have a very slick setup and the day is well organised. As mentioned above gutter rails and any other trim can be vulnerable due to the high speeds. Wheel arch liners and vortex generators on Evos were the other bits that came off so basically check your car over carefully and ensure all trim is secure, if not remove it or secure it properly. Also if you're going for very high speed runs then don't be tempted to remove the rear spoiler to reduce drag - type "Marham spin" into youtube!! It's a great day out though and a fantastic opportunity to blat down the runway.
Marham also do track days a couple of times a year, if anyone is interested PM me and I will send details when the next one is announced.

I was mindful of that when I lifted at 168mph because Neil had removed the rear spoiler on his car! I didn't fancy spinning someone elses car from 170mph! spinning from 168 would have been OK though Fortunately despite the headwind it stayed straight!
