Default fan plug help

Hi
Have just bought two after market slim line fans to fit in behind large rad, fans have two wires, subaru plug has three! any ideas any one?

haha i feel the same way thinks its because im half irish haha. been looking for the same answer and cant seem to find it in the search tool :/

did you ever manage to wire it up?

A fan only needs a live and earth to work, not sure what the third wire is on the scooby plug but you just need to find which one is the live and use that with the earth! Wiring diagram could be useful?

Yep would be ideal to have one fan using the low speed setting and the second for the high speed. It may be that there is only one live and two earths or the other way round. Depends which way round subaru chose to wire it. A multimetre would be a good idea to start. Memory from a while ago tells me there live all the time and earth switched. But that could be wrong

put in on a switch is pretty easy and u kin turn it on wenever u want thats wat i did we my new fans
