Default Engine Mappers.

What is racer rom? and what advantages / disadvantages and which ecu's can be mapped like this?

As above Racerom is not for your car,its for DBW(Drive by wire) cars,for yours is maybe available only MegaRom..

Racerom is for the DBW family of Subaru ecus.
Benefits include, dual maps, launch control, flatshifting, and downshift autoblip aswell as the option to ditch the MAF and run SD based.

EcuTEK MegaROM - Only JDM Newage STI's from MY03-MY05
EcuTek RaceROM - All mappable cars from MY06>

What does? Dual fuel map,in gear boost etc.

U can use ecu tek on the standard ecu.

I'd use OpenSource where possible on a STD ECU, I don't think EcuTek offer anything over openSource mapping at the moment unless they have changed their product. (sorry been about 18months since I last dabbled)

He's talking about buying the software so you can do your own mapping, not the cost of a remap
