Question

I recently fitted a K&N 57i air filter to my standard 97my turbo and think it sounds absolutely cool as **** but there is one small problem with the standard dump valve, it has the bottle blow effect as mentioned in the SIDC faq's at 3-4000 rpm. Has any one else had the same problem with these air filters (is it too much air getting sucked in?????) or is it just a coincidence and the dump valve has gone?
Any help or advice would be much apreciated as usual.

P.S. I think it might have also dropped the boost down .1 bar and were is the cheapest for a genuine part as i am not paying 165+vat at a subaru garage.

THANKS

Green Scooby,

My dump valve is playing up a bit too. I took it off to clean and flush it with carb cleaner and it's a little better but I will still replace it. I run the standard airbox so I'm not sure how these are related.
Maybe it has just gone.

Scotty.
