it does say trade-in price. hold ur mouse over the question mark next to the value n it says its what you would get from a dealer. you would no doubt get more for a private sale.

One problem with that and many sites that use reg numbers for prices.. they don't recognise the difference between the WRX & Sti.
I reckon I should get about double the £3300-£3650 it said for mine.

Where do they get their database
My greenwagon is registered as a rover 216gsi which I sold 11 years ago !
One of my number plates on retention is registered to my old rover tourer which was scrapped 7years ago but is worth £140-£199
They got my wrxd correct though and I'm not selling at that price !

£740 - £790
To be honest if it was a shed (which they are quoting for) then that price is about accurate. As it stands I'd get closer to triple that.

obviously always better off selling specialist cars private, rather than trading in

You're always better selling a scooby private, it's still not easy finding a buyer though as there are that many for sale, and usually way over priced for the current market.

That should make it easier to sell then if everyone around you is overpricing. As long as you're not greedy you should get your price.
...£4375 for a WR1 though is daft.

If memory serves me well CAP is current auction price, I used it as a quick way to find out real time prices at auction in conjunction with glasses, if you where giving a trade in value you would get an idea of the worst ammount you could hope to recoup if it was not something you wanted to prep and put on the pitch to retail

For Hawkeyes its only going to get worse with the ludicrous road tax people have to pay.
My Brother in law bought a highest tax band Jag X type for £5000 and now wants to sell it. Fat chance, he's pretty much stuck with it as no one is wanting to pay 10+% of its value each year for tax.
