check the applied model code is the best bet, they are on the sidc faq. The inlet manifold and dash are 2 big giveaways too

The single coil pack on the inlet is either central or to the right looking at the engine from the front. I'm trying to remember which is which V3/4 are the same as are V5/6. The embarassing bit is I have a V5 and can't remember (in my defence I was looking over a V4 last Saturday watching him change his HT leads for some larger splitfire ones!).

I thought V4/5/6 all had the same dash. V5 got the newer front bumper but this is easy to change and a lot have had this done.

The coil pack on a V5 is to the passenger side of the intake manifold. Interior details can be interchanged, so is not a good indication. VIN Number and applied model code as stated is the best method.

Surely, the V4 has the earlier three slot bumper and larger indicators, plus normal, (not crystal) lights?
