Default Anyone know how many dbs afterburner vortex puts out?

Does anyone have an afterburner vortex on a fully decatted newage and know how loud it is?
Is it over 100db?

Thanks

yes judging by my vortex with a cat i would be amazed if it was below 100 db,not blitz loud but prob 105 db i would have thought.
thinking of a bung over winter period as my neighbours in our cul de sac love me warming my car up outside when its early,
wakes everyone apparently???

Hmm it would seem not. I do fancy something louder for a change but its no good if i cant track it. Mind you i could use it for the winter and get simething quieter when its track season next year.
A bung would make it track safe tho, i guess?

I would of thought so. Its 96-97db on mine and should be the same on yours. I shouldn't think your equal length headers will make it louder.

Ok, nothing to lose really. Lets swap round crimbo time, bit like doing presents. Like you say you don't hit too many motorway miles and its that which is the killer for me.

I have full decat afterburner on mine, except only bit being the back box which is a Ninja II. This past for castlecombe, but the backbox is the main part of the exhaust which sets the volume/tone.

i wouldn't use a bung personally, any restriction in the exhaust is going to have a detrimental effect on power

Ninja 2 ,is a fair bit quieter than a vortex fully decatted ,I never used the bung once with my ninja 2,cant say that about the vortex.
