Just got back from looking at a Spec C, undecided.

What do you think?

Ignore the advert, it's just a Spec C and not a RA-R!

Seems cheap for a low miles Spec C? Is it deffo a Spec C rather than a STi with added roof vent?

Really lightweight doors, boot etc. 12 ltr intercooler spray in boot, roof vent etc. Seems to be all there, I'm just worried on the lack of history. A V5, an MOT and a service from somewhere up North and that's it????

I know it was imported in January this year and it is MINT. Seems to be in the right condition for miles.

Seems like a cheap motor a little bit too cheap would advise a check over by someone who knows as something does not add quite add up.

It was serviced in Nelson (can't remember the name of the garage).

The main thing putting me off was the 'Keighley Trade Centre' on the bottom of the number plates, I mentioned this to the dealer and he said that Keighley has changed hands lately and is now run by the son? and it has a better reputation.

As everyone else has said seems a bit too cheap lol. Could be a JDM STI with the added parts. definately get a specialist to have a look at it.

This isn't one Iv ever seen before ever.

I was just about to say its probably not imported by Prodrive or Litchfield due to the silly rear fog light, they normally do the fog properly.

Being Keighley I would be very careful, they sell it cheap because they buy it very cheap. How they buy it so cheap is the problem, their cars are usually cheap for a reason. Also very little history is another thing to think about. Saying that it could be a good un, you never know!
If I were you I wouldn't buy it without first taking a specialist with you to inspect the car properly and I don't mean the AA or RAC!!

ps Or best option, take Tony!!

Id rather have a look at this one. This one has been featured in a few magazines, the owners were members on here & is a known car. It was on sale about 18 months ago for about £20k. Though not sure about its rebuild history? Even though its over your budget, you can easily spend over £2000 in less than year sorting out issues etc.

I had considered that one but couldn't find any history on here about it. And having a forged engine sort of takes the fun of having a 2.0 Spec C in the first place. Definately a nice car but when I asked about it a while ago no-one knew about it.

It was featured in Banzai or Jap Performance about 3 years ago, Il dig out the mag. There were two white Spec C's featured together, two friends owned them. One of then came on here now & then. Il find out his name.

I think RCM may have done that build it may be worth asking them if you cant find the original owner. Also may be worth asking Shaun, I think he knows of this car & it has got a Litchfield sticker in the 8th pic.

If you could dig out the mag that would be a bit of help.

Tony, if you are about on monday and you fancy popping over to look at that car that would be a great help. I'm gagging to get back in the Subaru fold after selling mine, I'm driving around in a 14 year old Skoda van at the moment and it ain't quite the same!

That's one of Juggers imports. Lovely car, low mileage but slightly out my price range having been let down on a £8k cheque this week!

It looks pretty much like a proper Spec C to me.

Take a look at it with someone that knows about Subaru's and Spec C's.
