Default Rare 22B. But Is It Overly Expensive?

Apologies if this has already been on here, but I have recently spotted this 22B on eBay and think it looks lovely, but is it a lot of money, even for this low mileage model?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1707176877...84.m1438.l2649

Take a look.

I'd love to go and have a look, but no money for such a luxury I'm afraid!

OUCH!

You have to be so careful these days.

There are so many dishonest people out there!

Does anyone know the trader?

You never know, but the seller may just be a gullible bloke that's been the victim of a scam himself.

Serves him right if he hasn't done his homework on this car though!

This was the reply I got when I asked if he was sure about the history as I know one of the previous owners.......

Hi

The car has had one owner from new we know him well! The file of documentation we have backs up the mileage.

However the Car was sold yesterday.

Thanks for your concern and interest in the car.

Best regards

As TX says, this is a disgrace. I find it hard to believe the dealer is oblivious to the cars history.
And by saying the car is sold when confronted pretty much seals it for me.
My father was a car dealer (a straight one I must stress) but I'm still very careful when buying from dealers. Infact I usually steer clear from dealers when buying cars.

So it was "sold" on the 22nd. I guess that makes it at least 2 owners now !

Surely somebody looking at this car will either be an enthusiast and will have already clocked the threads on here and elsewhere. Or they will be savvy enough to come and ask on an enthusiasts forum first.

Hopefully, if it is dodgy, the tit will be stuck with it for a while. At least until he reduces it and comes clean!

Mine went to n ireland trying to contact the buyer but cant find receipts for that car.

Ive got the receipt for the sale but this dont prove anything.Im on the 22b redg im down as owning 388 twice and i know the car now as i have got before and after pics of it.I cant contact dvla as i never redg them in my name they are sold before i get chance to.

My other one has just sold to switzerland i won the mcree event with it.Just to keep my name 100% clean when i buy my 22bs they are either off 22b or out the locall trader pistonheads and i have nothing to hide what so ever i have receipts for all 6 i have brought.

Despite this reply being posted on 26th November 2011, the car is still up for sale. Why lie about it when it can be seen by everyone on Ebay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1707176877...84.m1438.l2649

The price was £29.995, then it went down to £24.995. Now it's gone back up to £28.995.

Does it really have a suspicious history and would this be the reason the dealer is struggling to sell it at this price?
