Jimmy, bit of advice mate. You need to start posting technical requests in the tech section mate.

The general section is really just for scooby related chat and you'll get better responses to technical problems if you post in the correct section.

took me all of 30 seconds

Dude, you beat me to it!

Jimmy, have you got a budget in mind to sort the car, and a vision of how you want it to be? I know you've got a few niggles to sort, but whats the bigger picture?

Do you want more looks than performance, or something to do 8 minute laps at the Nurburgring in?

Did you contact Scoobjam74 mate? Send him a pm, tell him what car you've got and ask him what he can do for you. 1 trip to Leicester or a phone call could see you well sorted mate. I'll pm you his number

What sort of dumpvalve?

Your car HAS one already, the BEST type for it. Don't put a VTA valve on it unless you want trouble down the line.

And under NO circumstances fit a Bailey.

OK first of all you need to know exactly what you want mate and you need to shoot for it, just buying random stuff and not knowing what your goal is, is only going to lead to dead money and changing things multiple times. i.e. Map the car for a setup, realise it's not enough so buy a bigger turbo and then have to map it AGAIN that'd be £350 wasted etc etc

Do not fit the VTA!
Aftermarket ECU will set you back no more than £700
Suspension do you want coilovers or just sort Geo out on existing setup? i.e. do you want to slam it down?

There are a million things you need to decide mate before going any further forward with this.

I agree. Decide what you want, then someone on here will tell you what you need to achieve it. Im still not sure if you actually own the car yet though, so take up Stealth's offer to sort it for you and he will confirm you are indeed an owner!

Youve got to admit though, all that shoite on the other infamous thread was enough to test the patience of a saint, and put more than a few questions in peoples minds.

dont forget this quote from the servicing thread which now cant be edited

quote on page 8 from jimmy

This is all fun !....That's one of my old car's Simon has, very fast and nice, not as quick as my Evo 10,slightly forgot to mention that lol,but a very nice motor though, anyone want his old one ?..lol

so thats bmw 330ci,range rover and evo 10, personally id spend the money on making the evo faster rather than wasting it on that old classic with dubious modding history, but maybe all the cars will be discounted by the usual
"lol i was winding you up" the internet forums answer to "dam i forgot i wrote that lie."

oh page 23 of servicing thread quote from jimmy

I have a K reg cossie (escort !!!) ONE owner !!!
And a Lotus Carlton, both mine and have been for a number of years..

Ok, i'll say it, and others have said it, but just to make it clear

DONT FIT A F***ING DUMP VALVE

You have a standard recirc valve on there and thats all it needs. Please please, I beg of you, take the advice you get on here as people are trying to help you but patience is wearing a bit thin.

and an evo 10 and an escort cosworth and a lotus carlton, thats a lot of moneys worth of cars fella and your quibbling about spending a few quid on an old classic it just doesnt add up and that is why maybe people dont bother replying to your threads as you hardly seem trustworthy so its not worth wasting there time.
