right i've take my td05 18g off as i broke the water jernal (cant spell me ) and i've put a 04 cos it was free and my good dose it spool quick almost like no lag i forgot just how quick it spools no wander when it was on the 2000 turbo he always said there's no kick the power's just there

 

what sort of boost is it running?

 

i've pulled my simtek wile it's on so 1bar

 

I ran a TD04 on myoo classic with a EJ25 and simtec and yes it spooled very quickly, and held about 1.2bar when myself and duncan live mapped it last year .

 

that must of held it back dont they max out at 280bhp

 

yes mate around 280-290bhp

Ive now changed to a Vf48 but not ran it yet .

 

take it was a stop gap like mine tryin to make a good 18g out of 2 turbo's right now

 

you can push the TD04 to about 1.3 bar ......then it acts as a heater rather than a compressor LOL

Was the original problem a water cooling issue with the turbo?

seams like it before i changed the turbo would lose all the water and heat up with just one lap round the bloke changed the turbo running sweet only took the engine out a few times before changing the turbo lol

 

Yep, sounds like you cracked through to the water jacket on your turbo running the ALS.

 

let's just hope the gt30 can take a bit more abuse i keep telling people that my car get's driven hard lol
