Default Time to join the big boys club!

Oooh Mama. As you say power is truly addictive in a Subaru. I've been driving my standard 2005 STi for 7 months and have finally decided to add some basic mods.

-Japspeed Sports Cat downpipe
-HRC 255 lph fuel pump
-Cosworth panel filter

All this will be done with a 90k service, renewing all fluids and filters. Plugs will be changed to NGK Iridium heat range 7, (I've learnt that the Iridium plugs are more reliable than Platinum). MA.

Then comes the lovely remap to bring it all alive, like Frankensteins monster, ha ha ha!

Should give my car a new lease of life, IA.

add a 3 port solenoid to that list and you should see a decent hike in performance after the map.

Ok mate, you can put your **** away now!

I was merely sharing my excitement at the thought of a nice increase in power, my car was soon to have, IA.

There's no need to wave your ***** about, saying "mine is bigger than yours". That kind of demeanour is so childish and really paints a picture of how people are in their character. Its better to just love and spread the love, especially man love.

Feel free you spread your manlove.
I never have purported to b,e or want to be one of the BIG boys.
Merely highlighting that perhaps your terminology indicates you feel a mildly modified UK STI is in some waya Big Boys car.
You enjoy it though

Default Wow, its like a different car!

I'd just like to give a big thanks to 'Slowboy Racing' for looking after my car and for creating a new monster.

Works included;
-90K service (Iridium plugs heat range 7, Gates cambelt with water Pump, Millers CFS 10W50 engine oil, Millers CRX 75W90 Gear oil, Comma G30 Silicate free coolant, Delphi lockheed 5.1 brake fluid, Genuine oil filter, OEM fuel filter)

-Godspeed Kevlar front brake pads

-Japspeed sports cat, HRC 255lph fuel pump and Cosworth panel filter

Open source remapped to 336bhp and 330lb-ft torque.

Now this car feels like what an STI should drive like. I hope that the modding bug will end here for me, as my wallet has taken a pounding!

It has just started mate next you will look to get to the 370-400 mark. I spent over 4k during the summer and now want to sell it and get a another classic and go 400+.

What recession...

i have less bhp than your self and my ***** aint that big BUT you are meerly halfway to becoming one of the "BIG BOYS" . IMO you need 450+ to be considered above the modified norm . now im not having a go so dont go all defensive on us here and am glad your happy with your results but to me and most on here 330 in a sti would be the norm .

next step , bigger turbo

*please do not take a fence

Yep, it’s a very slippery slope indeed! I’ve lived with 334bhp & 381lb/ft on my 06 WRX for 3 months now and I have already started to look at the forged engine route & 6 speed conversion options to go much higher. Would have been miles cheaper to start with a flippin STI, typical! Definitely addictive!

Sorrry mate, you're not in the big boys club until you have a forged engine conversion and a turbo man enough to produce 450bhp
